Ryosuke Fukusada and Rui Pereira wanted to create a product that merges traditional and industrial techniques. Inspired by a simple woven basket, the designers developed the Gabbia lamp in a bamboo basket-weaving village that specializes in small scale objects.

The Gabbia lamp combines bamboo weave with the lightweight and colourful PVC to create this unique visual representation of traditional meets contemporary style.
